Second stage of the English Triple Crown of thoroughbred racing, it is open to females, even the latter rarely take part.Nearly sixteen horses enter the race and the best ones share a total allocation of £1,625,000. A jackpot of £921,528 goes to the winner alone. In addition, the winner often competes in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes, which takes place during the month of July. Later, in October, he takes part in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe in France.
